All staff in the Medical Sciences Division are required to complete a new EDI Briefing e-Learning module. This module is designed to build staff understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in the context of their work at the University, providing an overview of:
- The definitions of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- The legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty
- Oxford’s approach to EDI
- Considerations in your everyday practice
The module has been developed by the Equality and Diversity Unit, in partnership with the Medical Sciences Division, and is in alignment with the University’s legal obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and the Freedom of Speech Act 2023.
Staff are required to complete the e-Learning module by 1 September 2026.
