Wellbeing at the RSL

Along with being a space for study and research the Radcliffe Science Library is also a place for the MPLS and MSD community to relax, chat and revitalise themselves. To help this we have created a Wellbeing Room which features comfortable sofas, armchairs and bean bags as well as a table where people can sit to craft or play games.

You are welcome to bring your own or try out a new hobby from the equipment in the room. We have knitting, crochet, origami, modelling clay, Lego, board games and colouring in. Alternatively, if you’d prefer a quieter experience why not play with one of our fidget toys, curl up under a weighted blanket or try the noise cancelling headphones. If you’d prefer some leisure reading we also have that on hand. The room will house our Wellbeing Collection which includes self-help books, poetry, books on mental health, comic books and novels.

The Wellbeing Room can also be booked for events by groups such as discussion groups book clubs etc. If you'd like to know more, offer to run an event in the RSL or want to book the room please contact rsl-wellbeing@bodleian.ox.ac.uk

We also have a range of activities chosen to appeal to different preferences for wellbeing.

Every weekday from 4-5pm - We have a quiet hour - where we dime the lights in the Wellbeing Room, put on the fairy lights and bubble tube and just relax.

Every Wednesday from 1-2pm - We have Lego lunch. Pop into our Wellbeing Room and play with some Lego. Build whatever you can imagine or follow instructions to build a dragon, a truck and more.

First Monday of the Month - 1-2pm - Nature Walk around University Parks. Join us for a walk around University Parks.

If you would like to recommend any equipment or activities for the Wellbeing Room please contact rsl-wellbeing@bodleian.ox.ac.uk
