Main Panel Chairs and Panel Recruitment

The REF funding bodies have announced the chairs of the four REF 2029 main panels. The chair for Main Panel A: Medicine, Health and Life Sciences is Professor Louise Kenny CBE, (Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Liverpool). These main panels will provide leadership and guidance to the sub-panels responsible for the REF assessment, and will advise on the exercise’s development and delivery. They will also play a key role in recruiting members and chairs for the main and sub-panels, for which applications are now open. We are keen to encourage colleagues to consider panel membership, and will be hosting a one-hour information session for those curious about the role and considering applying. Those interested in attending can register here – REF2029 Panel Member Information Session.
