The European Transplant and Dialysis games are coming to Oxford in August. The event is similar to the Paralympics Games or Invictus Games, and over 500 competitors from over 25 countries (across and in fact, beyond Europe!), are already registered for this year’s games, making it over double the size of any previous Transplant and Dialysis games!
This will be a fun-filled week of multi-sport competition offering an opportunity to promote the benefits and life-saving impact of organ donation and transplantation, as well as providing as an invaluable means for solid-organ transplant recipients and dialysis patients to re-engage socially, providing an invaluable goal for future potential transplant recipients and those on dialysis.
How can I get involved?
Purchasing a European Transplant and Dialysis games customised t-shirt or jumper
These are only available by pre-order and 20% of the sales fee will go directly to support the European Games here in August.
Fun run – Tuesday 23 August
Register (individually or as a team) for the 5km fun run at Blenheim. Tuesday 23 August, 5:50pm meet, 6:30pm start.
Supporting events at Blenheim
There are evening events at Blenheim Palace on Tuesday 23 (running) Wednesday 24 (cycling) and Thursday 25 (cycling) of August. It would be fantastic to have supporters cheering on competitors from the side lines and a great opportunity to enjoy the summer weather and beautiful surroundings at the same time!
Volunteering throughout the week
There are various volunteering roles available from Sunday 21 August – Saturday 27 August. Various roles and times available on each date. Volunteers will each receive a free t-shirt & a certificate as a way of saying thank you.
