INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

This is an exciting career-enhancing opportunity to join the senior academic leadership of the University’s world-leading Medical Sciences Division. This newly created role will work closely with the Associate Head of Division (Research), professional services staff in the Medical Sciences Divisional Office (MSDO) and senior leaders across the University to support the Division’s research ambitions. You will provide input to the selection of candidates for internal and external funding opportunities, contribute to development of research funding strategy and processes, and ensure appropriate leadership and governance for the research funding space.

Please see the Role Description for full details

The expected time commitment of this role will be 5 hours per week on average, with variation over the year following the annual cycle of funding activity. A Responsibility Allowance is payable (equivalent to Schedule V – currently £9,090). The appointment will be made for two years in the first instance, with periodic reviews. Applicants must discuss the opportunity with their Head of Department before applying

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Heidi Johansen-Berg (Associate Head of Division for Research), Leila Whitworth (MSD Head of Research Strategy & Funding), or Adelyn Wise (MSD Research Funding Manager).
