New study booths at the Cairns Library

The Cairns Library at the John Radcliffe Hospital Academic Centre has installed two brand new single-person study booths. These cosy units are sound-proofed, making them ideal for private video calls. They're bookable online or in person at the library, and are available to use 24/7. 

Practice beds

Did you know that the Cairns Library at the John Radcliffe Hospital Academic Centre has two treatment couches, which medical students and other members of the University can use for medical training (rather than for taking naps)? The Bodleian Libraries can now offer access to our unlimited institution-wide licence to Covidence

Did you know that the Bodleian Libraries are now able to offer current staff, researchers, and students unlimited access to Covidence: online systematic review management software which makes managing reviews easier? 

Covidence is a web-based software platform that streamlines the production of systematic reviews. It supports reference/citation screening, full-text review, risk of bias assessment, extraction of study characteristics and outcomes, and the export of data and references.

Information Skills courses

The Bodleian Health Care Libraries offers a programme of free online and in-person iSkills courses on literature searching, systematic reviews, science communication, poster presentations and reference management. The current round of courses run from September to December 2025. Sign up today

Oxford University Hospitals Book Club

All Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust and MSD staff and students are welcome to attend! Meetings are usually once a month on the third Monday of each month. You can attend either in-person.
