Bodleian TikTok Needs You!

Students! The Bodleian Libraries is looking for student volunteers to take part in TikTok videos (as students) over the next few months. What it involves:

  • Taking part in day to day student activities in the libraries
  • We want to accurately depict the Libraries and our readers as accurately as possible - so that's why would love to find some students who would be interested in taking part, and essentially be the star of the show!!

What we'd need from you:

  • Contact information
  • A signed consent form
  • No judgement for being on TikTok in the first place (ha!)

When a filming opportunity arises, we will get in touch with you. For anyone who wants to get involved, please do let us know and contact taylor.hollins@admin.ox.ac.uk

Google Scholar

As part of the change in library system over the summer we have had to change some of the links to our electronic resources. Google Scholar is unfortunately one of the resources which has been affected. Anyone who has previously signed into Google Scholar to see all the articles available at Oxford, will need to reactivate their account.

Step by step instructions are available on the eresources blog.

New copyright resource

We are pleased to announce that Chris Morrison has updated the copyright guidance on the Bodleian website. This has replaced the previous FAQ approach that had developed organically and wasn’t very accessible. It’s based on guidance I created with a User Experience colleague when at the University of Kent and is written in plain English. Chris is happy to receive any feedback. He can be contacted via Teams or by emailing copyright@bodleian.ox.ac.uk
