New Resource: Global Health Archive

This archive provides historical coverage from 1910-1999 from out-of-print journals on international public health issues, including infectious diseases and disease prevention. These records are the historical set of the Global Health database, the major database of regional, national, and global public health research. Access the GLOBAL Health Archive via SOLO.

 

Systematic Review Platform: Covidence

Staff and students at the University of Oxford now have free access to Covidence, online systematic review management software, which makes managing reviews easier. Find out more by visiting the University of Oxford Covidence page.  

The library has also arranged free webinars with the Covidence team on setting up your review and data extraction

 

Information Skills courses

The Bodleian Health Care Libraries offer a free programme of online and in-person iSkills courses on literature searching, systematic reviews, science communication, poster presentations and reference management. The current round of courses is scheduled to run until 4 December 2025, but will resume again in Hilary Term 2026. Sign up today.

 

Examination couches

The Cairns Library at the John Radcliffe Hospital Academic Centre has two examination couches, which medical students and other members of the University can use for training. Email hcl-enquiries@bodleian.ox.ac.uk for more info, or ask at the library help desk.

 

Oxford University Hospitals Book Club

The Bodleian Health Care Libraries are running free book clubs at the JR and Horton General. Visit the library's events calendar to see the reading list and sign up. All MSD staff and students are welcome to attend!

 

Study rooms

Looking for a meeting space? The Cairns Library at the John Radcliffe Hospital Academic Centre has five private rooms, ranging from individual booths to a large room with hybrid technology. The Cairns rooms are available to use around the clock, and are bookable online or in-person at the library.

The Radcliffe Science Library, in town, also has 5 bookable rooms, available during library opening hours and bookable online.
