Wellcome Funding now requires staff to complete EDI training. In the Medical Sciences Division we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment in which all staff and students, our visitors and contractors, treat each other with respect, courtesy and consideration, in line with the University’s Equality Policy.
The University has recently launched a new required e-Learning module for all MSD staff. The e-Learning module covers:
- The definitions of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- The legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty
- Oxford’s approach to EDI, including how it relates to our commitment to academic freedom
- Considerations in your everyday practice
The e-Learning module has been developed in alignment with the Wellcome Trust’s funding requirements and the University’s legal obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and the Freedom of Speech Act 2023.
