Connecting a computer to an MSD IT network

All computers, printers or other devices must be registered before being connected to a wired network managed by MSD IT Services.

Please submit a request for a new connection.

Once registered MSD IT will arrange for the network client software (for Windows), anti-virus software, and appropriate site licenced software to be installed and - where required - the Operating System to be configured. If necessary, any conflicting software will be removed.

It is a University regulation (Regulations Relating to the use of Information Technology Facilities: 13 2(a)) for all computers connected to an Oxford network to run current anti-virus software.
