Services available to departmental IT staff and how to apply to access them.

Departmental IT Staff who work closely with MSD IT are called "Associates" and must be on the central IT Support Staff Register and affiliated to the relevant unit(s).

IT Staff who are new to Oxford will need to apply to join the ITSS Register via this self-registration link:

Once submitted the application is normally authorised by the departmental 'itss01'. 

Staff who are already on the ITSS Register should ask their new itss01 to request the appropriate change of ITSS affiliation via a central IT Services self-service request.

Following training, Associates may be granted access these IT management tools for their department(s):


ActivityService tool
eDirectory management: iManager
File Store management:  various
IP address & host names:  NetDB
*Service Management Request Tracker (RT)
Workstation management: ZENWorks

Access to enhanced services will include access to MSD IT's Quality Management Service (QMS) which will be made available via SharePoint upon application.
