Safety Risk Management Group
The Safety Risk Management Group (SRMG) is the newest committee in the Medical Sciences Governance Structure. Reporting directly to board, the inaugural meeting was held in July 2024. Gavin Screaton chairs in his role as Head of Division.
Background
SRMG provides a focus for oversight, consultation and communication in relation to Health and Safety matters as these affect the Division; and to enable the Head of Division to fulfil his or her responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety within the Division, in particular, the provision of assurance. Under the Medical Sciences Board, SRMG is responsible for assurance, risk surveillance, good practice, horizon scanning, support provided by the divisional safety team, safety communications, and reporting.
