How to apply

The closing date for application for entry each year is October in the year before you intend to start the course, e.g. the deadline for October 2021 entry will be October 2020.
All applications must be submitted via UCAS, and every applicants must register to sit the Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT) by 1 October (or by 15 October, but this will incur a late fee). 

Please note, the University of Oxford will not accept BMAT results from the September sitting for A100 Medicine.

Key dates for applying in 2020

1 September: BMAT registration opens

1 October: BMAT standard entry closing date

15 October: BMAT late entry closing date (late registration fee applies)

15 October: UCAS application deadline

4 November: BMAT to be sat in school or local test centre 

Late November: Short-listing decisions are communicated to applicants by email

Mid-DecemberEach candidate’s interviews will be in a single 26-hour period, either from noon on Sunday to 2pm on Monday, or from noon on Monday to 2pm on Tuesday.

Decisions will be communicated to applicants by colleges in early January 2021 (date to be confirmed).
