President’s Welcome

Jewel BennettMy name is Jewel Bennett, and I am the President of Osler House for the 2023/24 academic year.

Osler House is the student body made up of all clinical medics, fulfilling the role of a JCR/MCR, as well as the name of our exclusive building located behind the hospital. Our building houses a dining space and open plan bar, a recently refurbished gym, multiple function rooms and a relaxing garden. The student body itself is represented by a committee of students from across all three years, both undergraduate- and graduate-entry, and there is ample opportunity to get involved.

Alongside academic affairs and career exposure, Osler hosts numerous social events throughout the year. The Calendar starts with our annual Medic Garden Party, followed by Freshers’ Formal and mid-term BOPs. If you prefer to wind-down through sports, Osler has a selection of teams catering for all abilities including netball, rowing, rugby, football, and basketball… All these opportunities are advertised alongside our sponsors at Osler Freshers’ Fair during the Clinical school introductory teaching weeks each September.
