In 2024, Nuffield Oxford Hospitals Fund (NOHF) provided funding to produce educational videos title in the series : Conversations in Clinical Communication:racism in health care settings.

Written by Dr Ruth Wilson, Academic Teaching Lead - Clinical Communication Skills

As medical educators we are rightly challenged to look at our course material and delivery through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusion. Thanks to a generous donation by the NOHF fund, the CCS team produced a series of films in collaboration with Fiona Boyle. The series title is ‘Through our eyes’ and captures the student experience of their undergraduate medical education.

We created a video about inclusion, to place the student experience at the centre of learning.

Through our eyes: Inclusion

Placing the student experience at the centre of our teaching delivery is essential for any meaningful development and change

The series of films include student experiences of belonging, racism and inclusion as well as thoughts about diversifying curriculum, widening participation and what students  would want educators to know.

We would be very happy to share our materials to support any learning in these areas.
