In 2022, Nuffield Oxford Hospitals Fund (NOHF) provided funding to enable the Oxford Centre for Education and Research in Palliative Care to purchase two OWL's to enhance their online seminars.

The 360-degree camera, microphone and speaker create an experience that is almost akin to being face to face at teaching. The speed of the camera means that people gathered in the same room are picked up speedily facilitating real time conversations.  The table and laptops enable the Owl to be used unobtrusively.
