Elective Programme: Do I need health insurance?

If you live outside the EU you must arrange personal health insurance for unlimited medical cover and send evidence of this insurance to the Elective Co-ordinator before you take up your place on the Elective Programme. It is a condition of your acceptance that you are adequately insured to cover the cost of medical attention, including repatriation if necessary, should you become ill during your Elective period.
