Clinical Medicine: When and how do I apply for a college place?
When completing your application you must specify one college on your application form to which you would like to apply. You are also given the opportunity to name an alternative college choice. This second choice may be used by the Director of Clinical Studies when seeking an alternative college place if your first college choice is unable to accept you. If you are offered a place on the clinical course, your offer letter will state that you are guaranteed a place at a college. The college will contact you separately and make an offer of a place, subject to your satisfying any funding conditions required by them. However, this will not necessarily be at the college you have specified on your application form. Some are heavily over-subscribed and not all applicants can be accepted at their specified college. Applicants in this position will be allocated a place elsewhere. A guaranteed college place does not guarantee accommodation.
