August 2020 - Demolition nearing completion
Demolition of the existing building and enabling works for the adjacent teaching laboratories are nearing completion. RIBA Stage 3 is nearing completion, the team is presently working to deliver the project in partnership with the University’s development partner L&G. May 2020 - LaMB Newsletter Issue 1

October 2019 - Demolition approved
Oxford City Council has approved the University’s planning application for the demolition of the existing Tinbergen building along with the enabling works to adjacent and adjoining buildings to allow redevelopment of the site. Find out more

May 2019 - Public consultation Events
A public consultation event took place on 17 and 18 May. The information boards showing proposals for the enabling and demolition works on the Tinbergen site and the emerging design for the new building are available to view online at www.ox.ac.uk/lifeandmind. Find out more

The project is now moving into development of the concept design of the building and extensive consultation with the people who will use it. Find out more
February 2019 - Architects Appointed
The University has appointed architects for the new provisionally named Centre for Life and Mind Sciences it plans to construct on the site of the existing, now empty, Tinbergen building. Find out more
