Dr. Nathalie Conrad is an epidemiologist in the field of cardiovascular sciences and women's health. Originally trained as an engineer, Nathalie’s research focuses on using big data to address to clinical and public health challenges.
Nathalie is a senior research fellow and principal investigator at the University of Leuven and has a honorary affiliation with the University of Glasgow and the University of Oxford.
Nathalie's group works on studying the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, disease trajectories and risk factors. Nathalie has previously completed research on the role of autoimmune diseases in cardiovascular risk, and the epidemiology of heart failure, investigating how sex and socio-economic differences impact disease incidence, care delivery and outcomes.
Nathalie holds a DPhil in medical sciences from Oxford University, an engineering Master’s degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), and previous work experience as a data analytics consultant at IBM.
