Studentship Value
At present, Newton-Abraham Studentships offer:
- payment of fees
- a maintenance grant (currently no less than £22,622 pa for 4 years)
- Research Support Grant of £15,000 (for the duration of studentship)
This studentship is tenable in association with Lincoln College.
No person may be awarded a scholarship a second time.
Eligibility
Newton-Abraham Studentships were established to promote research in the medical, biological, and chemical sciences.
To be eligible for the award in 2024 admissions round, candidates must have applied to the University for admission for postgraduate study in one of the following departments:
Candidates applying for admission to study in one of the Medical Sciences Division departments are not eligible for the award in 2024 admission round.
How to apply
All applicants to the Biology Department who have applied by 5th January 2004 and all applicants to the Chemistry department who have applied by the deadline of 19th January 2024, will automatically be considered for this award.
There will be no separate application required.
