As Research Culture Project Officer, I work alongside the Research Culture Facilitator, in collaboration with a broad range of colleagues across the Division and beyond, to help shape, support, accelerate and deliver research culture initiatives. By sharing learning and good practice, we aim to deliver positive changes for our research and technical staff and support excellence in an outstanding research environment. This is key to meeting the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and Technician Commitment, and is a growing and high priority area.

The Medical Sciences Division is the largest academic division of the University and an internationally recognised centre of excellence for biomedical and clinical research and teaching. I support the Divisional Advocate for Research Staff and the MSD Research Staff Forum, to connect the voices, views and experiences of research staff to processes and decision-making in the division and University.

My interest in the delivery of healthcare research has developed through my previous roles. Having trained as a physiotherapist and worked in the NHS, I joined the University of Oxford in 2008, with roles in the Wolfson Centre for the Prevention of Stroke and Dementia (CPSD) and Translational Research Office (TRO).
