Research Alliance with Janssen
About the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson
At Janssen, we’re creating a future where disease is a thing of the past. We’re the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, working tirelessly to make that future a reality for patients everywhere by fighting sickness with science, improving access with ingenuity, and healing hopelessness with heart. We focus on areas of medicine where we can make the biggest difference: Cardiovascular, Metabolism & Retina; Immunology; Infectious Diseases & Vaccines; Neuroscience; Oncology; and Pulmonary Hypertension.
About the Oxford-Janssen Alliance
The University of Oxford has several strategic collaborations with Janssen with programmes in immunology, big data and neuroscience. The aim of the Cartography programme with Janssen Immunology is to create a detailed cellular atlas across multiple immune-mediated inflammatory disorders (IMIDs). The project will apply the latest molecular and cellular multi-omics analysis platforms and computational methods to deliver insights for target selection and precision medicine for a range of inflammatory disease indications where existing options for therapeutic intervention are limited.
The Janssen/Oxford Big Data Institute Fellowship Programme appoints research fellows to work alongside Janssen scientists to accelerate the use of human genetic data and understand how genetic variations can affect the ways in which diseases develop. The programme interprets large population-based genetic data-sets with a focus on inflammatory disorders, neuroscience and fundamental analytics.
