Biomedical Sciences: I study outside the UK. Do you have any advice on international qualifications?
We welcome candidates offering other international qualifications. See our entry requirements page for information on the IB, European Baccalaureate and Scottish Advanced Highers. If your qualification is not listed, please consult the University listing of international qualifications. Please note that whatever qualification you may hold, we would expect particular excellence in at least two out of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
If the advice given indicates that your qualifications are not sufficient for entry to Oxford, we would advise you to supplement your qualifications with further study equivalent to A-levels. You might consider taking A-levels or the International Baccalaureate. We would be looking for A*AA at A-level, or 39 points (including core points, and with 6s and 7s in the Higher Level subjects) in the IB. For further information about institutions offering these qualifications in your country, you may wish to contact your local British Council (British Council website) or the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IB Organisation website). If you would like further information about your particular circumstances, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
