This all day virtual event is for MSD DPhils and other scientists who want to learn about the research techniques used across the Division.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

With an increase in department specific research techniques courses, the role of this day has evolved to primarily be important for making students aware of the wide range of expertise available in Oxford. The techniques included vary each year with at least a three year cycle for the same speaker. Techniques applicable to most people are included regularly such as mass spectrometry and microscopy. Please see the programme here.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, attendees should be aware of expertise available in Oxford in the techniques presented, the underlying principles of how they work, application and how they are accessed.
