All courses provided by the Medical Sciences Division are free of charge for research staff and students at the University of Oxford, and do not require a refundable deposit.

The booking process

We keep an up-to-date list of all MSD courses. To learn more about any course(s) you may be interested in, click on the course title within that list.

To book a course, you can either:

  • Click on ‘Apply for this course’ (within each course page), which will re-direct you to CoSy and ask for your single sign-on (SSO) to book the course, or
  • Log in to CoSy via your single sign-on (SSO), then search for the course there and book it

In either case, follow the instructions in CoSy to complete the booking process. Shortly after, you will receive an email from CoSy with further information about the course (such as an enrolment invitation link for courses that require you to submit pre-course work).

Cancelling your place

If you need to cancel your place, you should do so no later than 3 working days before the start of the course, as stated in the Terms & Conditions. While MSD Skills Training courses are free for you, the University does pay for them – so we appreciate early cancellations so we are more likely to offer your place to someone on the waiting list.

AFTER THE COURSE

For online courses, your attendance is confirmed if you have joined the session(s) on time and stayed for the whole duration of the course (unless otherwise agreed with the tutor in advance). For in-person courses, your attendance is confirmed if you have added your name and signature to the register.

When your attendance has been confirmed, you will receive an email with a link to a post-course evaluation survey. Once you have completed the course survey, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
