The aim of this engaging workshop is to help you to develop essential lecturing skills in a safe environment and with expert tutoring and feedback.

COURSE AIMS

By the end of this two day course it is expected that workshop participants will be able to

* Get students to engage with their subject

* Develop critical thinking

* Run interactive and engaging lectures

* Increase their own confidence in lecturing

 

COURSE FORMAT

The course runs in a workshop format, with participants required to give a 5-10 minute talk/lecture during the second session.

COURSE CONTENT

The course content will include information on

i. Lecturing skills

ii. Small group teaching

iii. Teaching large classes
