DPhil student on the British Heart Foundation Cardiovascular Science Programme (2016-)

Abigail Wilson showing her award diplomaAbigail Wilson is a 3rd year DPhil student funded by the British Heart Foundation. She is based in the Sitsapesan laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology. Abigail uses single channel electrophysiology and calcium imaging to investigate how a mutation to the cardiac ryanodine receptor underlies an inherited form of arrhythmias in the heart. She was recently awarded a Poster Commendation at an international Gordon Research Conference (Excitation-Contraction Coupling 2019) and she was also awarded the Paton Prize within the Department of Pharmacology for her work.
