Associate Professor

Louise joined the NPEU Clinical Trials Unit in 2009 and leads on the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of a portfolio of neonatal and obstetric clinical trials. She manages a team of statisticians and is a co-investigator on several research grants awarded to the unit.

She joined Oxford University in 2002 and has over 20 years of experience working in epidemiology, clinical trials and medical statistics. She has worked on several large prospective cohort studies, including Birthplace and Porton Down. In 2012 she was awarded a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Research Doctoral Fellowship to undertake a longitudinal analysis of health and development in infants born extremely preterm using the 20-year EPICure cohort (University College London).

Louise runs the Oxford Medical Statistics Network (OXSTAT), primarily aimed at medical statisticians working and studying across different research units within the Medical Sciences Division. The aim of the group is to facilitate networking, communication and collaboration, and to provide informal support and foster good practice.
