The licence holder courses provided by UCL are accredited by Royal Society of Biology. The courses are designed and written by, NACWOs and NTCOs with extensive experience in laboratory animal welfare and care. UCL provides PIL A and B training for Zebrafish and Medaka in addition to E1, L and K modules.

Course structure

The course focuses on the husbandry, biology, and legal and ethical implications of working with zebrafish and Medaka. This course is run by one of the largest zebrafish facilities in the UK, based in UCL's Biological Services. It is delivered live online where you will attend virtual lecutres and participate in group activities. Practical and handling assessments will be carried out at the University of Oxford.

Online, invigilated closed book exams carried out on the last day of the course. Practical and handling assessments will be carried out at the University of Oxford.

How to register and pay for your course

If you are paying for the course using a Purchase Order (PO) then select this option when registering. Once you complete the registration you will receive an email which can be used as a quote to generate the required PO. If you already have PIL AB and only require Zebra Fish species specific bolt on then type zebrafish in the voucher field, click recalculate and then process to check.
