About the Oxford-MODERNA Alliance
The Business Partnerships Office works closely with Moderna’s R&D teams to support and expand collaborative research opportunities. Key areas currently include:
- Infectious Diseases & Global Health: A large number of research partnerships in this space target emerging, neglected and high-burden infectious diseases, with an emphasis on pandemic preparedness.
- Immuno-Oncology: Partnerships within oncology centre around our understanding of precancerous states and early cancer progression, the identification of novel biomarkers, and the development of innovative approaches to cancer prevention.
- mRNA Platform Science: Collaborations in mRNA platform science span fundamental and physical sciences, including research into lipid nanoparticle/mRNA technologies, formulation optimisation and delivery approaches.
