This course provides an introduction to learning and teaching in higher education. Please note that this is a requirement for teaching in many departments in MSD. This online version will consist of pre-recorded materials that you will need to work through prior to the one hour interactive live session.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Apply fundamental principles of learning to your teaching
  • Learn how to find teaching opportunities in the University
  • Design and consider different ways of delivering small group teaching
  • Provide high quality feedback to your students
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching

COURSE FORMAT

Online - pre-recorded materials followed by live interactive session.

You will need to be logged in via SSO to access the pre-work and join the interactive session.

Prerequisites

You will need work through the ‘pre-work’ materials BEFORE the live session, and make sure you have a good internet connection and uninterrupted time.

PLEASE NOTE:

We do not have an automated communications workflow set up for this course. Therefore there may be some delay between booking and receiving booking confirmation and joining instructions, but we will send out the information you need as soon as we can.

As this course relies on pre-work being completed prior to this session, we have switched off the automated waiting list. If the course is full, please try again a day or so later in case any cancellations have made places available.
