ABOUT US

Medical Sciences Division Skills Training programme provides courses, workshops and resources to support postgraduate research student and early career researcher development.

Our training is based on the Vitae-Concordat agreement and in line with the European Commission HR Excellence in Research to maximize the research practice and professional development of researchers in UK.

MSD Skills’ training courses fall under Vitae’s four main categories: Research skills, Communication skills, Teaching skills, Career development .You should also use the MSD Training Needs Analysis (TNA) form to reflect and think strategically about your ongoing development as a researcher. You can also refer to Vitae’s professional development tool, the RDF planner, which is designed to support the holistic professional development of researchers.
