About
Remit of the Fund
The Climate and Health Pump-Priming Fund will make awards up to £15,000 with the aim to pump-prime activity and build inter-disciplinary or cross-divisional collaborations in the area of Climate and Health.
Any project undertaking research at the intersection of climate and health will be considered. This may include projects that investigate or address the links between climate and health or solutions to the climate crisis – sustainable food, clean energy, active transport and a resilient health system – that can also directly benefit people’s health across the globe. The health benefits of solutions will need to be highlighted in all applications.
The Fund aims to build capacity and new collaborations (particularly cross-divisional/inter-disciplinary collaboration) in this area and position Oxford researchers to apply for funding from Wellcome, Horizon Europe and other funders who are investing in Climate and Health.
Applications are open to all academic divisions of the University of Oxford.
Upcoming ForUms: October 2021
In Michaelmas Term 2021 (October 2021) a series of Climate and Health Forums will bring together researchers for discussion under four broad thematic areas:
- Urban Impacts
- Disease Impacts
- Environmental Impacts
- Infrastructure Impacts
Application Deadline
The application deadline for the Climate and Health Pump-Priming Fund is Wednesday 24 November, 12pm.
