Medical sciences Innovation champions

Since April 2018, the OUI Innovation Champions Scheme has placed representatives within the four University divisions to support the landscape for innovation and entrepreneurial activities. Innovation Champions all have first-hand experience of OUI services and act as a point of contact for colleagues interested in commercialising their ideas or developing links with industry.

NIHR Oxford BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE

The NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford (OxBRC) is based at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and run in partnership with the University of Oxford. With funding from the NIHR, the Oxford BRC supports hundreds of medical researchers who are translating basic science into tangible clinical benefits for NHS patients. As well as world-leading academics, we also support researchers starting out on their careers.
