The National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) recognised that WIN is strong in the following areas:

  • There is a clear strategy for public engagement and a strong and committed leadership providing a supportive culture
  • The staff members whose roles are associated with championing and driving public engagement are visible
  • Large numbers of WIN staff and students are involved, in some way, in public engagement activities
  • Personal Development Reviews (PDRs) include public engagement as part of 'good citizenship'
