Hoffbrand's Postgraduate Haematology, 8th Edition - book cover and information about editors, ISBN, price

Since 1972, Hoffbrand's Postgraduate Haematology has introduced generations of trainees and medical residents to the pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory features, and management of blood disorders.

Editor-in-Chief of this latest edition is Professor Adam Mead. He is based in the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, where he leads a research group identifying therapeutic strategies for myeloid blood cancers. He also looks after patients with myeloid malignancies at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He said: 'Haematology remains at the forefront of the application of advances in molecular biology to the management of human disease. It is a huge honour to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief of Postgraduate Haematology. I hope that it will prove a useful repository of authoritative information for all those faced with the challenge of keeping up to date with an increasingly complex landscape across the wonderfully diverse areas encompassed by clinical and laboratory haematology.'
