The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences delivers four interdepartmental undergraduate programmes: Pre-clinical Medicine and Clinical Medicine, Graduate-entry Medicine, and Biomedical Sciences.

I am responsible for:

  • Supporting the Course Directors in the management of the four programmes.
  • Oversight of the day-to-day operational management of the School in support of its academic mission.
  • Management of the School’s finances.
  • Leading the team which provides operational support for students and teaching staff.
  • Strategic planning and formulation of policy.
  • Overall responsibility for around 27 support staff, based on two sites.
  • Administering the School’s Fitness to Practise processes, in cases where an allegation has been made that a medical student may not be fit to practise medicine.
