John Styles

I support the development of systems for reporting, capturing and sharing knowledge that helps to co-ordinate effort and insights for our business partnership activity.  I work on pan-University basis to foster improved collaboration where interdisciplinary approaches are useful.  I pioneered and now manage a CRM system that is used by all four divisions across the University, with the largest constituent team being the MSD Business Partnerships Office. 

I have previously worked in business partnership teams operating at divisional level in the Social Sciences and Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences divisions, and I’m now excited to be working in the largest University division: Medical Sciences.  Prior to joining the University, I worked for various blue-chip and start-ups in the IT sector, focused on technologies spanning ERP, CRM, eCommerce, Digital Services and Employee Productivity, with senior roles in sales, professional services and marketing.  For a short spell I was also Managing Director for a boutique data protection consulting firm, which pioneered the concept of brand differentiation through data protection excellence.
