Chris McIntyre

Communications Manager (Research and Innovation)

Based in Wellington Square, I am the member of the News & Information team who works with the Medical Sciences Division. I support the departments across the Division in promoting their research work to the national UK media, as well as responding to journalist requests for comments on science and University issues.

I have worked in communications and publishing for the past nine years, in both biological and medical sciences as well as business and finance. Most recently, I worked in the press office of the British Chambers of Commerce in London, supporting its national campaigns and representing the views of the national Chamber network in the lead-up to the EU referendum. I have a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Ecology, and began my career working in the editorial office of the online science peer-review site F1000 before my segue into corporate communications.

Contact me if you need advice on media issues, or if you have been or are about to be in the mainstream media, by emailing christopher.mcintyre@admin.ox.ac.uk.
