Betina Nair

Business Engagement Manager

I am the Business Engagement Manager for the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) where I support industry collaborations with the University of Oxford as well as with the Oxford’s NHS hospitals. My projects include developing new collaborative opportunities with industry in Mental Health and Dementia, signposting industry enquiries across the Oxford ecosystem, creating, and organising industry events to persuade companies to collaborate with Oxford in themed areas of research consistent with the research focus of Oxford’s BRCs.

I moved to the UK in January 2020 to take up a research position at The Wellcome Trust centre for Human Genetics prior to joining the Business Partnerships Office in 2021. I have a Masters degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from La Trobe University, Australia and have worked as a research scientist in Australia and New Zealand specialising in cellular and molecular neuroscience, neurodegeneration and CRISPR gene editing.
