Anna Camera
Translational Research Manager
I joined the Translational Research Office (TRO) in October 2024 as a Translational Research Manager. In this role, I support academics in developing translational strategies for their early-stage research projects, aiming to maximise their potential for impact. I assist in preparing grant applications for both internal and external funding opportunities and provide project management support. Additionally, I deliver training to academics on effectively writing and implementing translational research programs. A key part of my role involves fostering and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive the translation and innovation of emerging interventions within the biomedical and life sciences sectors.
Prior to joining the TRO, I worked at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (University of Oxford), where I held dual roles in laboratory and project management. I managed EEG (electroencephalography) and MEG (magnetoencephalography) research at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity, while also overseeing project coordination, administration, and finance for the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre – Brain Technologies Theme.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology and Psychobiology from the University of Padova and completed an M.Sc. in Neural and Behavioural Science at the International Max Planck Research School, University of Tübingen.
