Anna Camera
Translational Research Manager
I joined the Translational Research Office in October 2024. In my role, as a Translational Research Manager at the TRO, I will be supporting academics in translational strategy planning for their early-stage translational research programs and maximising their chances of success in creating impact. I will support academics in submitting translational grant applications to both internal and external funding schemes and will also offer project management support to awarded projects. My role will also entail delivering training to our academics in writing and delivering translational research programs. I will also play a role in managing and further establishing relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) who are involved in translating and innovating emerging interventions within the biomedical and life sciences arena.
Prior to joining the TRO, I worked at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (University of Oxford), where I held dual roles in laboratory and project management. I managed EEG (electroencephalography) and MEG (magnetoencephalography) research at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity, while also overseeing project coordination, administration, and finance for the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre – Brain Technologies Theme.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology and Psychobiology from the University of Padova and completed an M.Sc. in Neural and Behavioural Science at the International Max Planck Research School, University of Tübingen.
