As the Research Funding Manager I support development and implementation of the Medical Sciences Division’s research strategy, with specific responsibility for the Division's internal research funding streams. I am Secretary of the Medical Sciences Internal Fund (MSIF) and the MSD Sub-committee of the John Fell Fund. I have also administered the Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund, the COVID-19 Research Response Fund and the COVID-19 Rebuilding Research Momentum Fund, among others. I lead the Division's internal selection processes to select candidates for external funding schemes when the number of applicants is restricted by the funder, and also support strategically important or inter-departmental grant applications.

I joined the Medical Sciences Divisional Office in 2018 as a Project Manager in the Business Partnerships Office, before moving to my current role in the Research Strategy and Funding team. My background is in clinical research and I joined the University of Oxford in 2011 managing early and late phase clinical trials in cancer treatment and prevention. Before this I worked for the University of Cambridge Department of Paediatrics.
