Employment opportunities at NHS Test and Trace Lighthouse Laboratories
NHS Test and Trace is expanding our network of laboratories in the continued effort against COVID-19. As we enter the winter months it is critical to continue to increase laboratory capacity. This expansion has resulted in a number of exciting roles from junior positions utilising a broad skill base, through to senior positions requiring experienced specialists or those able to oversee entire laboratories.
We are looking for individuals who:
- have lab management experience and/or are a HCPC registered BMS;
- have experience working in a lab setting (academic, clinical or industrial), regardless of level; or
- have a degree or postgraduate qualifications in a biological discipline
- or are a current student with some previous lab experience, particularly in virology, microbiology, or biomedical sciences and you are seeking part time employment
We have roles across the UK which may be of interest to you. If you are interested in a temporary, permanent, full-time or part-time lab role within the Test and Trace Programme, please register your details here.
Please note, this is a central database held on behalf of the Test and Trace Programme. We will use this to match you to suitable roles as and when they become available, which may include matching you to roles offered directly by third party suppliers such as Lighthouse Labs and specialist workforce agencies. Should you see laboratory roles associated with NHS Test and Trace advertised through third parties, please feel free to apply directly; however, we kindly request that you notify us should you take up employment so that we may update our records.
Roles will be for between 1-18 months depending on the requirement. We offer pay at competitive market rates and you will be fully trained and integrated into existing teams. Employment will be either directly with laboratories or through third party agencies to enable flexible working arrangements to suit you. All are employed to support the work of the wider NHS Test and Trace programme.
If you meet the criteria above, we strongly encourage you to apply. You can make a valuable contribution to the national effort to combat COVID-19. We look forward to hearing from you.
