Isobel Barnes

Isobel Barnes is a Senior Statistician in the Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU). She completed a PhD in statistics before joining the unit in 2010. Her research interests are in cancer screening, risk factors for cancer in different ethnic groups, as well as cervical and breast cancer epidemiology.
Isobel is a co-investigator of the AgeX trial, a clinical trial assessing the harms and benefits of extending the age range for breast screening in the UK. Isobel also works on the Million Women Study, a cohort study of women’s health, which includes over 1.3 million women.
