Anne Wolfes

Dr. rer. nat., MSc, BSc

Researcher Development and Training Officer

I am the Researcher Development and Training Officer for the Medical Sciences Division, with oversight of the divisional Skills Training programme. My professional background is as a postdoctoral researcher in neuroscience and as a trainer and consultant in medical communications and scientific writing.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London and also at Oxford, and a consultant at one of Oxford's biotechnology spin-out companies. My PhD was in the Molecular Physiology of the Brain, at the University of Göttingen. Alongside my current role, I continue to give professional skills workshops for early-career researchers, with a focus on science communication, project and time management, and career-planning.

I'm always happy to find an excuse for a coffee, so please do get in touch for a chat about anything I can help with that is research training skills- or career-related!
