Associate Director of Clinical Studies, Curriculum Lead Y4/GE2 and Y6/GE4 (Interim)

I am the Interim Associate Director of Clinical Studies for Year 4/GE2 and Year 6/GE4. 

I am responsible for  leadership of the Year 4/GE2 and Year 6/GE4 courses to create a coherent curriculum across these two years. I work closely with the other Associate Directors of Clinical Studies as part of a team led by DCS.

Responsible for: 

  • Chair of Y4/GE2 and Y6/GE4 Commitee
  • Patient Doctor 2 Course
  • Special Study Threads
  • Year 6 lecture course (previously Patient Doctor 3) 
  • Coordination of teaching and learning activities in Year4/GE2 and Year 6/GE4
  • Ensuring broader curricular elements are included in teaching, learning and assessment.  

In addition I run the Preparing for Practice as a Doctor course for the final year students.  I work as a Geriatrician in the Horton and John Radcliffe hospitals, with a special interest in Orthogeriatrics and Major Trauma Geriatrics. I am a Clinical Tutor at the Queen's College Oxford. My educational interest is in Supported Return to Training and the transition from medical student to foundation doctor.
