Taha Elajnaf
Postdoctoral Researcher
I completed a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and Physiology followed by an (MRes) in Neuropharmacology at the University of Dundee. I then undertook a PhD at the Medical University of Vienna to study the role of the calcium-sensing receptor in intestinal inflammation. Following my PhD, I joined Dr Fadil Hannan’s group to undertake postdoctoral research as part of the Oxford Centre for the Endocrinology of Human Lactation (OCEHL).
My interests are focused on fundamental science and translational research aimed at elucidating mechanisms and identifying novel targets for therapeutic intervention. As part of the OCEHL team, my current research is centred on understanding the molecular underpinnings of lactation using in vitro and in vivo models. My role also involves laboratory supervision of DPhil, MSc and BSc students.
