Mark Walker
Director of MSD IT Services
I joined the Medical Sciences Division in January 2025. As the Director of Medical Sciences Division IT Services, I oversee the strategic direction, development, and delivery of IT services across the Division, ensuring they meet the needs of academic, research, clinical and professional services staff. My focus is on fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and creating resilient, secure and high-quality user-centric systems that align with the University’s broader strategies.
I bring over 19 years of IT leadership experience across the public and private sectors. Most recently, I spent nearly four years at Jamf, where I led and developed high-performing consulting and pre-sales engineering teams across EMEIA. Prior to this, I dedicated 12 years to the NHS, serving as Head of IT at Oxford Health. During this time, I established the IT function from scratch, delivering transformative digital strategies and building resilient infrastructure to support healthcare delivery. Earlier in my career, I worked at the John Radcliffe Hospital, managing server infrastructure for the Oxfordshire Health Informatics Service.
As a Fellow of the British Computer Society, I am committed to professional excellence, ethical practice, and continuous development.
