Gail Hayward
Chair of John Fell Fund Medical Sciences Sub-Committee
Gail is Chair of the MSD John Fell Fund (JFF) committee which meets termly to review applications to the fund and put forward a ranked list of project proposals to the central JFF committee for funding. The John Fell Fund aims to support early career researchers, new collaborations, and pump priming of larger awards.
Gail’s own research interests lie in diagnosis and management of common infections in primary care and in the generation of evidence for new diagnostic technologies in community healthcare settings. She is the Clinical Director of the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Community Healthcare.
